A rare red-vented Philippine Cockatoo has been safely returned to the largest exotic bird store in South Florida according to a story on local10.com. Ian Brown, co-owner of Golden Cockatoo saw a man who he said lived close to the store stealing the bird (worth over $4,000) on the video surveillance camera. Brown called the Broward Sheriff's office and the bird thief was quickly apprehended. According to Brown, the birdnapper had been drinking heavily prior to committing the crime. His getaway vehicle was a bike.
