Despite a slowdown in the residential side of the market, luxury hotel developers continue to flock to Miami. The newest entrant is the posh New York and London club Soho House. New York City's Soho House ( Meatpacking District) has 3500 members and is noted for the rooftop pool, although we are big fans of the foosball table off the main bar.

Sex and the City fans might recall Episode 84 when Samantha snags a membership card to get her girls up to the pool before getting kicked out. The 74- unit Soho Beach House is expected to open in 2008. Only members will get the opportunity to buy rooms, but non-members will be able to rent rooms leased back to the club. No details yet about pools and games for this project.
